Raghoonanan Repeats as Dutch Champion
Trinidad and Tobago’s Aaron Raghoonanan etched his name into the history books yet again by winning the 2025 Dutch Caribbean Championship held in Bonaire from April 3rd to 6th. As he did in 2024, Raghoonanan was undefeated in the tournament, winning all seven of his matches where his overall record now stands at 14 wins, zero losses. Aaron had two 7-3 wins in the early stages of the tournament, which put him into the final 32 knockout rounds. From there, he had some stiffer competition, winning 8-6 and 8-7 to reach the quarter finals. From there, he seemed to be unstoppable, dispatching last year finalist Jorge Petrochhi 8-0 to reach the semi finals local hopeful Shamir Tremus Seintje 8-6 to reach the finals. In the finals, playing against Barat Ibrahim who was also undefeated, Aaron pressed the accelerator dispatching the opponent 9-4 on his way to his repeat title, which puts him in rare air having only been done once before by Aruba’s Jorzinho Everon in 2022 and 2023.
Aaron led an 8 man contingent from Trinidad, including Trinidad 2024 Masters Cup winner Sham Jagerssar who made it to the final 32 of the competition, Ravi Goorah, Allan James, Jesse Gangaram, Jason Khan, Marouf Mohammed and Shivanand Bhagwat. They competed in a field of 72 players, with representative from Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Guyana, Suriname, St Maarten and St Eustatius.

Jagerssar wins inaugural BSOTT Masters Cup
Jagerrsar wrote his name into the history books yet again when he was crowned BSOTT Master Cup Champion at the Pyramid Sports Bar in Gasparillo, on January 19th 2025.
Billiards Sports Organization of Trinidad and Tobago (BSOTT) hosted its inaugural Masters Cup event with 16 playersearning a spot in the grand finale by virtue of their performances over the 2024 season throughout several monthly tournaments.
Using a double elimination format, the tournament kicked off on Saturday with the top 16 players, and ended on Sunday night with Jagerssar defeating one of top players in the country, Aaron Raghoonanan. Clint Bachan topped Ravy Joseph (4th) to setup a showdown with Sham Jagerssar, who was earlier defeated by Raghoonanan. Bachan and Jagerssar would have a heavy weight bout for the ages fighting for a spot in the finals against Raghoonanan, with Jagerssar eventually coming out on top 9-8.
